Sarah is a practicing Massage Therapist and has completed the five-year program of Osteopathy at the Canadian College of Osteopathy. Sarah is currently completing her clinical trials evaluating the effects of osteopathic treatments on the upper extremity function in breast cancer survivors. She hopes to defend her thesis in November 2019 and complete her Diploma of Osteopathic Manual Practice (D.O.M.P.) and Diploma in the Science of Osteopathy (D.Sc.O).
Sarah officially started towards a career as a therapist by completing an Honours Specialization in Medical Science, at Western University. Following completion of the Massage Therapy program, she opened her practice in 2015 and began teaching at D’arcy Lane Institute of Massage. Sarah has integrated her wealth of knowledge into her treatments and aims to treat the body as a whole. The goal of osteopathy is to remove obstructions, restore balance and maximize the client’s own power in achieving health.
Sarah has taken additional manual therapy training in Spine Assessment and Treatment, Pediatrics, Endocranial and Cranial Sacral Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, Lymphatics and Drainage, Muscle Energy Techniques, Foot and Ankle Assessment, Pregnancy and Labour Support.
